Dolph Ziggler vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Result: Shinsuke Nakamura wins via pinfall

Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars

In a rematch of their contest at Backlash, Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura met inside the squared circle for the second time. At the beginning of the match, the two were sure to take their time and not rush into the conflict. Having competed against each other several times at this point, they were well aware of what the other is capable of. Technical wrestling was a staple of this match early on, but strikes were quickly introduced thereafter.

From here, the match itself was back and forth exchange of moves and heavy strikes. Ziggler kept offering offensive more after offensive move, showing why he’s such an athletic talent. As for Nakamura, he refused to stay down, allowing him to display his durability and toughness. Towards the closing moments, the Showoff was able to hit the Zig Zag, but he was only able to net a two count. A few moments later, and the action was back to being dead even.

With both men battered and beaten, Nakamura made one final big play and hit the Kinshasa. This was enough for him to score the victory and in turn, regain some of the momentum he lost on Sunday.

In another backstage segment, Daniel Bryan was talking to Sami Zayn about what he’ll be doing next week. The Underdog from the Underground will be taking on none other than Mr. Money in the Bank; Baron Corbin. Becky Lynch joins the duo, with Zayn offering his apologies for what happened on Sunday before leaving. Turning her attention to Bryan, she joined those before her in saying that something needs to be done about Carmella.
