WWE Battleground 2017: 3 Potential Opponents for Naomi

With Naomi successfully defending her championship against Lana at Money in the Bank, we look at the three women who could challenge her for the gold at Battleground. 

This past Sunday, the Smackdown Live presented Money in the Bank. The event had some memorable moments and crowned two new stars as both Mr. and Miss Money in the Bank in Baron Corbin and Carmella.

In the nonladder matches we saw all of the champions leave the event still holding on to their championships. One of these champions is Naomi who once again defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Naomi defended her belt against Lana who had just recently made her debut on the blue brand a few weeks ago. Lana originally requested to be involved in the Money in the Bank match at the pay per view.

However, Shane McMahon declared that Lana had not earned a spot in that match and thus refused to add her to the match. Taking matters into her own hand, Lana attacked Naomi during a tag match costing her the match.

Furious, Naomi requested a match with Lana at Money in the Bank, putting her championship on the line to get the match. After some back and forth action and a surprise drop in by Carmella who had won the Money in the Bank briefcase earlier in the night, Naomi was able to retain when she made Lana submit.

With her title still in her possession and another Smackdown Live pay per view around the corner in July, we look at the three women who Naomi might face at Battleground.
