WWE Battleground 2017: 3 Potential Opponents for Naomi

3. Charlotte Flair

Since coming over to Smackdown Live, back in April during the superstar shakeup, Charlotte has made it her mission to become the Smackdown Women’s Champion. The Queen got close when she first arrived earning a title match against Naomi.

However, after interference from the welcoming committee the match ended in a disqualification and Naomi and Flair along with Becky Lynch set their sights on taking the welcoming committee down.

Flair then put her attention on becoming the first ever Miss Money in the Bank, however thanks to James Ellsworth the Princess of Staten Island, Carmella now holds that honor. With Money in the Bank over, and the welcoming committee dealt with Charlotte can refocus her attention on gold.

In the two times that these two women have clashed, they have put on two great bouts as Charlotte’s power matches up great with Naomi’s speed. The two are certainly the top two females on the blue brand and a clash seems imminent.

Flair has continued to make it known to Naomi that she wants her title and it seems like only a matter of time before she gets it. While this match seems more likely to occur at Summerslam in August, WWE might want to make this into a Summer program.

The match at Battleground could end in a double count out and then the two could clash once again at Summerslam. If WWE wishes to make these two clash all summer we could see these two face at BattleGround.
