The Smackdown Live Tag Team Division
Highlights of the division
The promoted match on WWE Smackdown Live between the Usos and the Hype Bros was underwhelming, to say the least. Time constraints of the show and the added promo time given to the New Day after the match concluded might have hurt the Hype Bros in the short-term.
Since losing to the tag champs in a non-title match, which direction will the Hype Bros head? They are an extremely talented team that can make another run for the gold once Battleground concludes in a couple of weeks.
The New Day facing off with the Usos for the titles at Battleground should top the match they had at Money in the Bank. It might be also the perfect time to strap the championships on the New Day since the Usos have officially cleaned up the division with their win over the Hype Bros. Their rap battle next week should be entertaining but these type of segments shouldn’t hog up time for tag team matches in the future. Teams like the Hype Bros would take the short end of the stick if that was the case.
The conspiracy surrounding the destruction of Breezango’s office still continues. The most obvious suspect in the end still has to be American Alpha. They are in need of a character change and turning them heel would benefit the division for the long run. The Usos are the only legitimate heels while the Colons and the Ascension have been reduced to jobbers the past few months.
Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
