2. Tye Dillinger

The person to go on to face Kevin Owens at Battleground will most likely be a face, and there is no face on the SmackDown Live roster who needs this win more than Tye Dillinger.

Tye Dillinger debuted on the main roster on the SmackDown after WrestleMania. Actually, he first debuted at the Royal Rumble, but that was not an official call up for Dillinger.

He started off with a few wins against the likes of Curt Hawkins and Aiden English, but ever since Backlash, Tye Dillinger has not been found on WWE TV.

He was a fan favorite down in NXT that fans have waited for on the main roster, but The Perfect 10 has done nothing of note yet. In order to capitalize on Tye Dillinger’s crowd support and overwhelming “10!” chant, WWE may want to throw him into a high-profile feud, and who better than the current United States Champion, Kevin Owens.

This is certainly a long shot, seeing as WWE doesn’t have any current plans for Dillinger, but his undefeated record may be at stake if he enters this Battle Royal.

So, if you see that Tye Dillinger is in involved in this match for the #1 contender, the ending to the Independence Day Battle Royal just may be a Perfect 10.
