In honor of the Fourth of July, WWE looks to present a rather patriotic tone for SmackDown Live. Here is everything you should know heading into tonight’s episode.

John Cena is set to make a monumental return to SmackDown Live. While no one knows what he plans on doing during the episode, odds are it’ll be must-see.

At the conclusion of the second female Money in the Bank ladder match, Carmella had successfully regained the briefcase. Now that she’s won the contest twice in a row, one can expect her to carry the contract until she sees fit.

During an address to the SmackDown Live audience, Maria and Mike Kanellis were interrupted by none other than Sami Zayn. Although the Underdog from the Underground meant nothing by the interruption, he may feel the duo’s wrath as a result.

Unwilling to end his quest to regain the WWE Championship, Randy Orton refused to leave the ring last week unless his wish was granted. Commissioner Shane McMahon made the match official, but the stipulation was left up to Jinder Mahal. Choosing the Punjabi Prison, his decision promises a quality bout.

This week, the New Day and The Usos are going to take part in a rap battle for the ages. The contest will be hosted by the hip-hop star Wale, which promises to promote interest for the unique encounter.

After taking her complaints to social media, Lana has secured one final shot at the Women’s Championship. Can the Ravishing Russian dethrone Naomi and win her first title in WWE?

Drawing upon the Fourth of July theme for tonight, a battle royal has been announced for this episode. The winner of the match will receive a shot at Kevin Owens and his coveted United States Championship.
