WWE SummerSlam 2017: Match Card Predictions After Great Balls of Fire

Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Alexa Bliss took the Raw Women’s Championship from Bayley at WWE Payback, and held it ever since. This included keeping it at Great Balls of Fire.

In the latest match, Bliss only walked out with it due to a countout. This saw Sasha Banks knock her out of the ring, resulting in the referee counting to 10. A post-match brawl signaled more to come between the two, which could be on Raw or SummerSlam. The former may be more likely, given there are six weeks until the latter.

However, in a rematch on Raw, look for Nia Jax to make her presence felt. She came inches from getting the opportunity Banks received at Great Balls of Fire. Maybe she’ll look to destroy Banks’ occasion on Raw, setting things up for a Triple Threat at SummerSlam or No. 1 Contenders match on Monday.

A Triple Threat may be more intriguing, though, given the need for a babyface to be involved, too. A heel vs. heel isn’t the most ideal dynamic, so getting someone, like Banks, to provide the foil could be a way of making this work.
