Following the first edition of Great Balls of Fire, there are a lot of outcomes which can impact Monday Night Raw going forward. Here is everything you should know heading into tonight’s episode:
Thanks to a timely assist by the Miztourage, The Miz is still your reigning Intercontinental Champion. Is there anyone on the Raw brand who is capable of dethroning the Awesome One?
Although he delivered an emotionally driven promo at Great Balls of Fire, Enzo Amore was unable to defeat his former friend in Big Cass. With the seven footer destined for greater heights, it’ll be interesting to see where Amore goes from here.
Last night, the Hardy Boyz battled Cesaro and Sheamus in the first tag team ironman match. The result could’ve gone either way, especially during the closing moments, but Cesaro and Sheamus ultimately stood tall four falls to three. Thanks to back to back victories over the veteran team, we can expect to see Cesaro and Sheamus defend the Raw Tag Team Championship versus a new set of challengers.
At the end of a highly physical contest, Brock Lesnar managed to retain the Universal Championship against Samoa Joe. Now, the Beast Incarnate can focus solely on his SummerSlam title defense, which will have him competing with Roman Reigns.
Speaking of the Big Dog, last night he was unsuccessful in emerging victorious over the monstrous Braun Strowman. Despite this, he made sure to have the last word, as he recovered enough to force the Monster Among Men into the ambulance and crash it in the parking lot. Both men were damaged by the impact, but only time will tell if they’ll miss any action.
