Sasha Banks Seeks a Championship Opportunity
Last night, Sasha Banks looked to become a four-time Raw Women’s Champion. In order to do so, she had to defeat Alexa Bliss, a female athlete who’s had a stellar run during her short time on the main roster. Few have been able to stand tall over the Goddess of WWE, and so her popularity has skyrocketed as a result. What she lacks in height and physical presence is made up for by her great use of in-ring awareness and heelish tactics.
When Sasha Banks emerged as number one contender, it appeared that Bliss was going to lose the title. The Boss has been trying to reclaim the mountain for months now, with her match at Great Balls of Fire offering her the prime chance to do so. Unfortunately for her, Bliss sensed a defeat was on the horizon and opted for a count-out finish instead. That way, she could retain the championship and live to fight another day. What she didn’t expect was the aftermath, where an infuriated Banks assaulted her along the entrance ramp.
Between the controversial finish and the post-match brawl between these two athletes, it’s safe to assume that another match is in the works. If their last match is anything to go by, then the next clash is going to be a very entertaining affair. The technical prowess of the Boss mixes well with the Goddess’ tenacity, which grows exponentially the longer she holds the gold. Their rematch won’t take place anytime soon though, as WWE recognizes the value this feud brings. Instead, they’ll probably opt to save the contest for SummerSlam.
Regardless of who emerges victorious in this feud, both females have continually showcased why they belong on the main roster.
