In just twelve short days, the men and women of SmackDown Live will compete at the Battleground event. Before then, what can we expect to see develop on the Blue Brand? Here is everything you should know heading into tonight’s episode:

Tonight, Tye Dillinger is going to face Jinder Mahal in what can be considered his biggest match on the main roster. Can the Perfect 10 defeat the WWE Champion, or will the Maharajah once again exit SmackDown Live as the victor?

While Jinder Mahal contends with Tye Dillinger, Randy Orton is likely to examine the contest closely. At Battleground, the Viper is slated to face Mahal in a Punjabi Prison match. If Orton has his way, he’ll be leaving Philadelphia with the WWE Championship.

Speaking of Battleground, a Flag match has been announced for the event featuring John Cena versus Rusev. Both superstars will be looking to begin their return with a dominant win, and due to the match stipulation, will likely be feeling the weight of representing their respective countries as well.

Instead of waiting until Battleground to fight Kevin Owens, AJ Styles shocked the world and won the United States Champion this past Friday. Now that he’s already defeated his rival, how will this change of pace come to impact their feud?

After unintentionally interrupting Mike and Maria Kanellis again last week, Sami Zayn offered a sincere apology. Despite this, it’s doubtful that the couple is willing to forgive what transpired, and in turn may be planning to strike back at the fan favorite.

During tonight’s episode, Xavier Woods and Jey Uso will be competing in singles action. Their partners are probably going to watch the match at ringside, which means chaos could erupt. Regardless of what happens, this contest can continue to develop the ongoing rivalry involving these two teams.
