2. Kazuchika Okada vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

There might not be another feud in NJPW that has been more iconic than the one of Okada and Tanahashi. The two have been the most bitter of rivals over the last few years with both men owning huge wins over one another.

The duo has faced each other already at three WrestleKingdom’s with Tanahashi winning two of them. However, at their last encounter at WrestleKingdom, Okada was finally able to beat his old rival.

The two’s last encounter was last year during the A-Block finals of the 2016 G1 Climax. The two went to a thirty-minute draw with Hirooki Goto winning the block because of this. These two have made a history of bringing the absolute best out of one another.

The two’s rivalry has been compared to Stone Cold’s and The Rock’s as the two are by far the two biggest stars in NJPW. Through their long and storied history, the two have yet to meet in the finals of the G1 Climax.

The two have yet to give fans a bad match and their matches have been considered some of the best in the history of NJPW. If Tanahashi was to win it could up the potential 4th time that Okada and Tanahashi were to main event WrestleKingom.

With a fantastic history and being the greatest feud in the history of NJPW, Okada and Tanahashi would not be a bad final to have in the G1 Climax.
