WWE Rumors: Brock Lesnar Not Expected to Re-Sign After WrestleMania 34

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar may be ending his pro wrestling career following WrestleMania 34.

Brock Lesnar, whose contract is up following the event in New Orleans, is apparently looking for other options. As a result, his WWE career seems to be coming to a close. Recently, numerous reports confirmed that Lesnar has re-entered the drug testing pool for MMA. Although he retired from MMA after his bout with Mark Hunt following violating a drug testing policy, this career option now appears to be back on the table.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the current leader of the Raw brand does not intend to renew his contract following its expiration following WrestleMania 34.

In December, Lesnar was suspended for one year for his drug test violation. In order to return to UFC, Lesnar would have to serve out the remainder of his suspension, which would make him eligible at the end of the year.

During his return in the WWE, Lesnar has been known for taking long absences from the company, even if he was champion.

Following his WWE return on the night after WrestleMania 28, his first match was at Extreme Rules on April 29 against John Cena. He would only compete one other time the entire year, defeating Triple H at SummerSlam. The next year, he only competed three times, against Triple H (twice) and C.M. Punk at WrestleMania, Extreme Rules, and SummerSlam, respectively.

Lesnar would compete at four pay-per-views in 2014, with one of those being WrestleMania 30, where he ended the Undertaker’s streak. Before WrestleMania 31, Lesnar signed a three-year contract with WWE, which also allowed him to compete at UFC 200 in July of 2016.

Recently, UFC legend Dan Severn mentioned on the Pancakes & Powerslams Show that he would welcome an MMA match against Lesnar. Although this is a bold move, it would certainly draw many people to be interested in seeing what transpires.
