WWE Battleground 2017: Match Order Predictions

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin

It would have been nice to see Corbin defending the Money in the Bank briefcase here in this match, but by not doing so it seems as if the WWE is planning on putting over Nakamura in this match.

Kicking off the main slate, what better way is there then to get Nakamura out there? It’s fair to say that most of the viewers at home and most likely every single person in the area will absolutely go ballistic when Nakamura’s music hits.

This rivalry and storyline have been a decent one when you look at Corbin assaulting Nakamura prior to the Money in the Bank match and other backstage attacks.

Not only that, but the WWE has a real opportunity here to make Corbin look like a legitimate, eventual WWE champion here against a fantastic in-ring performer in Nakamura and Nakamura will also do his best to help put Corbin over.

As we all know, Corbin is still relatively green, but he has a good look and we all know that possessing the Money in the Bank briefcase means that you’re almost a shoe-in to become the next WWE Champion.

It’s not exactly clear where this rivalry or where these superstars are headed, but this is probably the best match on the card to open up the show.

Maybe we’ll get a Corbin cash-in at SummerSlam?
