Predicting the winners and losers of this Sunday’s WWE Battleground pay per view from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

So far in 2017, the WWE has had 9 pay per views.  And to be honest, not a single one has been that great.  Sure, a few have been decent.  Wrestlemania 33 was a decent show from top to bottom as was the most recent show, Great Balls of Fire.  On the other side, there have been some absolute duds.  Shockingly, Money In The Bank was pretty disappointing.  And let’s not even get started on what was one of the top 10 worst PPV’s of all time, Fastlane.  It’s too infuriating to get in to.  So can Battleground buck the trend of the ho-hum WWE show?  Maybe I’m a cynic, but I don’t have high hopes.

Let’s be honest here.  This is basically a show of rematches.  It’ll be the third installment Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal, the second of The Usos and The New Day, and the same with AJ Styles and Kevin Owens.  John Cena and Rusev will rekindle a rivalry that died out 2 years ago and the women of Smackdown Live will do battle in a repetitive 5-way match for the #1 contender spot to Naomi’s title.  The only real fresh blood Sunday night will be the Shinsuke Nakamura/Baron Corbin match.  And that ought to be good.

Let’s hope I’m wrong, but Sunday’s Battleground just kind of seems like the WWE is just going through the motions and will wait to build for Summerslam after this is over.  But the show is happening regardless, so let’s breakdown what might happen.
