3. AJ Styles

AJ Styles is probably the least likely to feud with Chad Gable, at least for now. This is because Chad is just starting out, while AJ Styles is on the top of his game and is arguably the best performer in the company.

While a feud is unlikely, Gable can still have the opportunity to raise his stock and put on a phenomenal match (once again) with the Phenomenal One. This can all happen thanks to the newly instilled U.S. Championship Open Challenge.

AJ Styles, as the new United States Champion, has made it clear that he will be a fighting champion and will defend his title in open challenges. This is a perfect opportunity for Chad Gable to show that their last matchup was not a fluke.

The last time these two competed, AJ Styles defeated a game Gable, but Gable assured Styles that that would not be the last time they meet, and next time the result might be different.

No one really expects the result to be different if these two face off again, but it would be a welcomed surprise and could lead to an interesting program between the two gifted wrestlers.

If the result remains the same with Styles retaining, it would at least reassure crowds that Chad Gable is able to hang with the big boys. The loss could get sympathy from the crowd, while the hard fought effort could help him gain the respect of competitors and the WWE Universe.

I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing these two get in the ring at least one more time.
