1. Dolph Ziggler

This has all the makings for an interesting and entertaining feud, and the basis for this feud is simple. Both are former amateur wrestlers, and with Ziggler being older, would want to prove that he is still the best wrestler in the WWE.

Ziggler has seemingly been given the role of taking on and putting over new talent. He did it with the likes of Baron Corbin and as recently as Shinsuke Nakamura. Ziggler currently has nothing going on storyline wise, so why not give him another young up and comer to put over.

Both are incredible technical wrestlers, so the matches that they put on would be spectacular and would surely raise the stock of Chad Gable and maybe even Ziggler’s, too. Ziggler is a veteran and former world champ, so if Gable is chosen to go over Gable, that should be the start of a serious push.

Also, there is an even more intriguing scenario. While Jason Jordan is clearly primed for a big singles run, WWE may not be too sure about throwing Gable out there as a singles competitor just yet. Besides, the tag team division, on both brands is so thin that another singles competitor would not really help that situation.

Chad Gable and Dolph Ziggler could go in a similar direction as Cesaro and Sheamus. After trading wins back and forth, the two could gain a mutual respect for each other and decide to team up. The two would probably take on the gimmick similar to the varsity club (which was actually rumored to happen last year).

This could be the start of a new stable. Who else would join this stable? None other than the returning Shelton Benjamin. This could breathe new life into Ziggler’s career, provide an exciting return angle for Benjamin, and give Gable some spotlight before going out on his own.

Heck, I’d even be okay with the trio calling themselves the Gable Stable…but then again, maybe not.
