WWE Battleground 2017: Full Match Results
A look at the live results of the 2017 WWE Battleground pay-per-view.
The 2017 WWE Battleground pay-per-view is here. It will emanate from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA, and be the final big event before SummerSlam. Raw and SmackDown Live will team up for this, but before that, it will be the latter taking center stage in the City of Brother Love.
Battleground may represent the final installment of the Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton feud. They’ve gone head-to-head for the WWE Championship since April when Mahal originally won a No. 1 Contenders match to earn an opportunity at Backlash. This is where he won, ending Orton’s six-week title reign.
John Cena will go to battle with Rusev in a Flag match. It’s the first PPV match for Cena since WrestleMania 33, where he and Nikki Bella defeated The Miz and Maryse.
As for Rusev, he last wrestled on PPV in February at Fastlane. Will Sunday be the night he gets momentum back?
AJ Styles and Kevin Owens will have a match for the WWE United States Championship. Styles won the title from Owens at a house show at MSG, a rare setting for a championship change. Will KO get the belt back at Battleground?
