What Time Will WWE Battleground 2017 Start?
A look at the start time for the 2017 WWE Battleground pay-per-view.
On Sunday night, the 2017 WWE Battleground pay-per-view will take place. It’s an exclusive show for SmackDown Live, as the show’s stars will take to the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA for an evening of championship bouts and other personal feuds.
Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton will headline Battleground. They’ll fight in a Punjabi Prison match for the WWE Championship, potentially ending their three-month feud for the title.
At Backlash, Mahal won the belt from Orton — his first victory of any title in the WWE. It set up a rematch at Money in the Bank, which the Modern-Day Maharaja won, again. Will it be three straight times on Sunday night?
John Cena and Rusev will go head-to-head at Battleground in a Flag match. These two began their feud on July 4, the day they both returned to the WWE for the first time in multiple months. Will this be the night where the Leader of the Cenation rules the ring?
An Elimination match will take place to determine the next No. 1 contender to the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Lana, Natalya, and Tamina will be involved, with the winner getting Naomi at SummerSlam.
Carmella still lingers on the outside, but with the Money in the Bank briefcase, she can get her title opportunity at any point. Will she try to interfere in this match?
At the recent WWE live event at Madison Square Garden, AJ Styles won the United States Championship from Kevin Owens. It was a rare title change, and gave Styles his first belt since the WWE Championship in January. Will Owens be able to reclaim it at Battleground?
