Just forty-eight hours after the SmackDown Live exclusive pay-per-view, Battleground, the superstars of SmackDown converge at The Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.

Whether you enjoyed Battleground or not, the SmackDown PPV was marred in surprise returns and controversial finishes. In Battleground’s main event, Jinder Mahal, once again, defended his WWE Championship against Randy Orton, and just as Orton was on the precipice of victory the Great Khali, the creator of the Punjabi Prison Match, appeared to help JInder defeat the Viper.

Even more controversial was the confusing ending to the United States Championship match, with the challenger, Kevin Owens, pinned the champion AJ Styles.

We also saw new SmackDown Tag Team Champions crowned, when The New Day defeated The Usos for a second time in as many pay-per-views. The New Day add another checkmark in their list of accomplishments when they became the first tag team to hold both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

One thing SmackDown is doing well right now is put on incredible matches, spearheaded by the Phenomenal AJ Styles. And this week’s episode was no different. With some HUGE surprises and very good story telling, let’s take a look at the fallout episode of SmackDown Live.
