Impact Wrestling: Results and Highlights for July 27
By Dj Beal
Reviewing Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
Thursday’s Impact Wrestling presents the fallout of the defiance of Alberto El Patron against LAX. Last week, the Latin American Xchange gave Alberto El Patron one option. After helping him retain his World Championship a few weeks ago, it was almost a foregone conclusion that Alberto El Patron was the news member of LAX. El Patron has been adamant that he has no desire of joining and tonight wants to take on the entire group.
Due to Sienna’s issues with Karen Jarrett, she has been forced to defend her unified Knockout’s Championship. Sienna battles Rosemary in a Last Knockout’s Standing match to end the bitter rivalry. For so long, Rosemary was the dominant champion but now it seems that Sienna has taken that spot. With the match type leaning more in Rosemary’s favor, it could be her chance to regain her titles.
The Super X Cup’s last first round comes to an end tonight. The X-Division tournament is set to end at Destination X in three weeks. Naomichi Marufuji tries to prove himself against the Lone Wolf, Davey Richards. This has been a coming out party for relative newcomers and it seems like Richards could be the only Impact veteran to advance.
Also featured on tonight’s show, Grado finally proposes to Laurel Van Ness and Trevor Lee continues to “defend his” X-Division Championship. A huge six man match sets up an Impact Grand Championship defense for Moose next week. Finally, Lashley and Matt Sydal will not allow Bruce Prichard to overlook their title requests on this week’s Impact Wrestling.
