WWE Rumors: Will There Be Another Superstar Shake Up?

After WrestleMania 33 in April of this year, Vince McMahon announced there would be Superstar Shake-Up. Now, five months later, WWE is looking to have another Superstar Shake-Up.

Dave Meltzer, of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported earlier in the week that WWE is considering having a Superstar Shake-Up following SummerSlam this year. While no names were released to show who could be getting moved, it’s interesting to see that WWE is unhappy with their current rosters.

It’s odd to think WWE would want to move anyone around since both Raw and Smackdown have been getting better recently. So, keeping wrestlers where they are would be more beneficial than moving them around.

However, there are some who have hit a wall on the main roster, and just sit on the bench each week that could use a new place to work. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE plans on moving a few main roster superstars down to NXT. Most likely superstars Vince has no plans on pushing. They also have plans on bringing in some people from NXT.

Asuka is one star WWE fans have been dying to see on the main roster. Smackdown would be the best place for her to go. Since Raw already has current Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, along with Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Nia Jax. While Smackdown has Charlotte and Becky Lynch as their stars, their women’s division is weak. So, swapping Asuka for Lana, who desperately needs more training, makes the most sense.

A date for the next Superstar Shake-Up wasn’t mentioned in the newsletter. It would have to come pretty soon after SummerSlam though. And seeing people move from NXT to the main roster, and vice-a-versa will be interesting.
