Welcome to the RAW Division Rankings for the August 7 episode.

These are the power rankings for each division on Monday Night RAW for this following week. Each division would be ranked based on storyline progression and win/loss record as of 2017. Also, each division would be divided by contenders and pretenders, to differentiate the challengers in their respective division. I’ll also highlight a specific superstar in each division and explain their ranking based on their actions. Win/Loss record is provided by CageMatch.Net.

Each superstar or tag team can move up or down the rankings based on victory, defeat or storyline progression. Let’s see how the rankings shape up this week.

The RAW Cruiserweight Division

Highlights of the Division

Akira Tozawa made quick work of Ariya Daivari on RAW and put Neville on notice on 205 Live. With the association of Titus Worldwide, it seems like Tozawa has all the tools to be a major player not only on 205 Live but on RAW as well. The division has lacked a true superstar who can transition with the rest of the main roster. There is a golden opportunity for the WWE to give Tozawa a chance to capture the Cruiserweight Championship and do more for the division than what Neville did. Dominance for the past 8 months has done wonders for Neville but it hasn’t really moved the needle on RAW—Tozawa could change that with his association of Apollo Crews and Titus O’Neal.

In the pretenders section of the division, Tony Nese got a big win over Cedric Alexander on 205 Live which should move him a few steps closer to being a contender in the Cruiserweight Division. Also, Noam Dar picked up an easy win over a jobber but still haven’t made any consistent waves in the rankings this year. Both men could be considered the future of the 205 Live brand so the WWE will need to be delicate on booking them with serious momentum moving forward.

Meanwhile, for the Rest of the Division

TJP scored a big win over Rich Swann on 205 Live but their feud is far from over. It’s already established that TJP is the cocky heel and his antics after his win solidified his persona. This “friendly competition” between the two former Cruiserweight Champions has yet to have any real stakes behind it but that should change in the next few weeks. Both men will get emotional and this feud should take a drastic turn for the worst—which will make for some compelling TV.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
