Like him or not, Roman Reigns has had an incredible career thus far in WWE. Mulitple World Championship runs three WrestleMania main events, and a part of one of the best stables in the last decade The Shield. That’s why Roman Reigns should win the Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam will be main-evented by a fatal four way for the WWE Universal Championship. A match that will feature WWE’s “Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman, “The Destroyer” Samoa Joe, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns, and current Universal Champ “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. (You just read that in Paul Heymans voice didn’t you?)

The show will also feature a WWE Championship match between Shinsuke Nakamura, and current champ Jinder Mahal. A United States Championship match between Kevin Owens, and current champ AJ Styles. As well as many other great matches.

By far though the most intriguing match will be the fatal four way. All four men could easily walk out of SummerSlam with the red belt around their waste. Braun has never looked like more of a threat. Joe has been at the top of his game recently, laying waste to almost anyone put in front of him. And Brock Lesnar is well Brock Lesnar.

Roman Reigns, however, is the best option right now to walk out of SummerSlam with the championship around his waist. And here are five reasons why:

5. A Reigns Win Gets the Universal Title Back on TV

I know this could be said of the other three competitors as well, but getting Raw’s main championship back on TV on a weekly basis is needed. After Lesnar won the belt a WrestleMania, back in April, Raw has seen some of the lowest ratings for Raw it’s had in a while. While the NBA playoffs probably factored into hurting those numbers. A lot of the blame is on Lesnar not being on TV until the Great Balls of Fire PPV last month.

When Lesnar returned to TV to promote his match at Great Balls of Fire with Samoa Joe, the ratings when back up, granted, they didn’t skyrocket, but they did increase. A lot of that could be attributed to the Samoa Joe put in making the feud interesting. Also, fans were interested in seeing how Joe would fare in his first title opportunity on the WWE main roster.

But, at the same time, Reigns was also involved in the build to an Ambulance Match between himself, and Braun Strowman. Another match fans were interested in seeing. Because watching those two behemoths square off in a non-sanctioned match had everyone intrigued.

If the Universal Title returned to Raw every week, the ratings would get better. As long as WWE continues to give Reigns exciting matches to build towards, with new feuds, and faces challenging all the time.

Reigns has already proven he can go in the ring with just about anyone. Puting on good matches with just about everyone he gets in the ring with.
