Welcome to the RAW Division Rankings before Summerslam.
These are the power rankings for each division on Monday Night RAW for this following week. Each division would be ranked based on storyline progression and win/loss record as of 2017. Also each division would be divided by contenders and pretenders, to differentiate the challengers in their respective division. I’ll also highlight a specific superstar in each division and explain their ranking based on their actions. Win/Loss record is provided by CageMatch.Net.
Each superstar or tag team can move up or down the rankings based on victory, defeat or storyline progression. Let’s see how the rankings shape up this week.

The RAW Cruiserweight Division
Highlights of the Division
The biggest shocker on Monday Night RAW was the impromptu Cruiserweight Championship match between Akira Tozawa and Neville. It seemed odd that the WWE would give away a Summerslam championship match on RAW but it looked like it was the right move for one simple reason: this match would have been on the Summerslam pre-show. Having Neville lose his championship an hour and a half before Summerslam airs would have been a disastrous mistake for the WWE and putting it on RAW was a stroke of genius. The rematch will be set on Summerslam and look for Tozawa to retain the gold and keep the Titus Worldwide train rolling along.
Ariya Daivari picked up a huge win over Rich Swann with the help of TJP. The friendly rivalry between the former Cruiserweight Champions might finally pick up some steam since TJP cost Swann an important match. With Akira Tozawa winning the title from Neville, this rivalry could potentially determine who is next in line for a future title opportunity with the Japanese superstar.
Meanwhile, for the Rest of the Division
The same could also be said in the bitter rivalry between Jack Gallagher and the Brian Kendrick. The feud between these two top contenders has been less than entertaining but now has turned a corner. Gallagher has been less like a gentleman and more like a revenge seeker. This feud could also be used as a platform to determine who could possibly face Tozawa for the title. Guys like Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Ariya Daivari have been clawing their way to the top of the rankings so both Kendrick and Gallagher will need to stand out from the rest of the pack.
