SummerSlam closed out the night with a huge fatal four-way main event. How did Twitter react to the Universal Championship match?
SummerSlam 2017 closed out with a bang. The main event was a fatal four-way match for the Universal Championship. Three of the top Raw superstars took their best shot at dethroning Brock Lesnar. But Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman were all unsuccessful.
After a marathon of a night – more than six hours, 13 matches – Lesnar walked out of Barclays Center the way he walked in – as WWE Universal Champion. The match was hard hitting, vicious, and brutal. And getting the pinfall on Roman Reigns probably brought a smile to Lesnar’s face, after being unable to put him away at WrestleMania 31.
Things were chaotic at the onset, with barricades breaking, tables shattering, and bodies flying all over the place. Brock Lesnar was carried away from the match on a stretcher, just to put things in perspective. He would come back to get revenge on Strowman, who necessitated the medical break.
But how did the WWE Universe react to this incredible match? Let’s take a look and see how the career-defining moment was received by fans, superstars, and other notable tweeters.
