WWE Survivor Series 2017: Possible WWE vs. UFC Women’s Match?

WWE Survivor Series is being rumored to possibly have a multi-women tag match featuring stars from both the WWE and the UFC on the card.

WWE’s finest women’s Superstars are those that have redefined what it means to be a women’s wrestler and have helped raise the standard of wrestling in both NXT and WWE. These four women, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch consider themselves the Four Horsewomen of the WWE.

In the UFC, there is a similar group of women. Four women have brought importance and the spotlight to the women’s division in mixed martial arts. These four women, Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamin Duke consider themselves to be the Four Horsewomen of MMA.

It seems as though these two groups have some beef to settle over who the real Four Horsewomen are, and it may have already started. One of the MMA’s Four Horsewomen, Shayna Baszler, is in the Mae Young Classic, and both groups of Four Horsewomen were there to watch the event.

At the tapings, during one of Baszler’s matches, things got a little heated when action spilled out of the ring. WWE’s Four Horsewomen and MMA’s Four Horsewomen had a moment where they were trash-talking each other from behind opposing barricades.

Sure, this could just have happened in order to raise interest for the Mae Young Classic, but a full blown matchup could occur between the two factions. B

Baszler has already transitioned to the pro wrestling lifestyle, and it has been no secret that WWE has been trying to get ahold of Ronda Rousey for a while now, and Meltzer has said that Shafir and Duke have already started their training in pro wrestling.

Meltzer also mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio that a 4 on 4 tag match at Survivor Series is a real possibility, and the angle for that matchup could begin as soon as the Mae Young Classic. Ronda Rousey may also even work a match at WrestleMania, too, with either Charlotte or Stephanie McMahon.

If WWE is not able to get all of MMA’s Four Horsewomen for this blockbuster matchup, they may have an alternate that would be willing to take the spot. UFC’s Cris Cyborg has been feuding with WWE’s Becky Lynch on Twitter and has even called out Becky for a match at SummerSlam.

While it appears that it just may be a publicity stunt to get more buzz around both stars, WWE would have no problem bringing in a UFC star to take on Becky lynch in a singles match or take part in the tag match at Survivor Series.

WWE is always looking for cross promotional stars to bring in new fans. We saw it with Mayweather, Mike Tyson, and countless other athletes and celebrities. WWE has even been trying to persuade McGregor to make an appearance.
