WWE Raw: Will Nia Jax Ever Become Champion?

Nia Jax remains a dominant force to be reckoned with on Raw, but still has yet to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Know what’s not good? When someone’s booked to look like a destructive and dominating force for over a year, only to lose time and time again, when a championship opportunity or something big is on the line. Who does that pertain to? None other than The Hybrid Athlete, Nia Jax. Since her debut on the WWE main roster, she’s bull dozed over almost everyone in her path, but always seems to come up short when it comes to a situation that involves a championship.

Not immediately putting the title on Jax a year or so after her Raw debut isn’t terrible, just look at Jinder Mahal’s championship run to see what happens when you make someone a major player overnight. The result is that no one cares.

What is terrible, you ask? Despite that she’s booked similar to how Awesome Kong was in TNA, Jax and a Raw Women’s Championship victory doesn’t seem to be happening. One would think that it would be best to keep her out of the title picture until she’s ready, right?

Putting her in a feud with someone who’s making the transition from NXT to Raw wouldn’t be a bad idea and maybe losing the squash match philosophy where Jax defeats her opponents in under 2 minutes would help, too. There must be at least one female wrestler on the NXT roster that could benefit from something like this. Come to think of it, there seems to be plenty of talent, male and female that look like they’re ready, but that’s another story for another time.

Jax will become a champion. Actually, I don’t think her time is that far off. As noted, she is being booked to look like a somebody and the story line where she was deceived into believing that if she was Alexa Bliss’ friend/bodyguard, she’d get something in return was pretty unique. For now, Jax fans will have to go through a few more close calls and failed championship opportunities before her big moment. Then again, maybe her title reign will come in a matter of weeks.
