Reviewing Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT.

Tonight’s episode of NXT comes to us from the home base of Full Sail University.  This is the first episode post SummerSlam from the recent recordings.  The main theme carried through tonight’s episode is the final showdown between Roderick Strong and Bobby Roode.  This match was set into motion after Roddy defeated Drew McIntyre to earn a shot at Roode.  With Roode recently making his main roster debut on SmackDown Live last week, this will be Roddy’s last shot at the former champ for the foreseeable future.

We are also going to be treated to another chapter in the book that is the rivalry between Ruby Riot and Iconic.  Ruby is has a leg up on the Aussie duo but tonight it is up to Peyton Royce to get a win for Iconic.  This will be no easy task for either woman, Peyton has the pressure of her team’s success on her shoulders and Riot will have to contend with Billy Kay on the outside.  Lastly, we will hear from the newly crowned NXT Champion, Drew McIntyre.  What will he have to say about the attack at the hands of Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly?

The show opens with chaos in the back lot as wrestlers are laid out all over.  Right from the get go it is being said the attack is at the hands of Cole, Fish, and O’Reilly.  We then get a glimpse of the announce team trying to make sense of what had just happened and a transition into the opening salvo.
