WWE: 5 Reasons Raw Is Better Than SmackDown Live

1 of 5

WWE Raw and SmackDown both have their ups and down, but which show reigns supreme?

If you asked a couple hundred random, diehard WWE fans on your nearest street corner if they thought WWE Raw was better than WWE SmackDown Live or vice versa, I’m sure you could probably imagine how diverse the answers would be. From both shows being a little bit – or better  – than mediocre, to SmackDown being great, you could hear any type of opinion expressed. Fans would even compare the talent on the two rosters, the booking, you name it. You think it, you’d probably hear it.

If you’ve already read the title, I’m pretty sure you know which show I think is best at the moment, and I honestly don’t mind that it’s more than likely not a popular choice. For that matter, I didn’t write about this topic because it’s cool to go up against the majority instead of refuting the minority either. This is just me being me, this is just me being who I am, man.

Alright now that we got that extra bit of info out of the way, and you know I’m team Raw for life, let’s get to it.

Booking

No, I’m not saying that Raw books it’s talent better just because Roman Reigns hasn’t won a world title in a while. On the contrary, I think he’s actually a pretty decent wrestler who gets booed because most fans feel he was put in a position that he just simply didn’t deserve to be in at the time.

I’m also not just saying this because John Cena hasn’t been booked to win his 17th world title, either. If and/or when that happens, I can’t see the WWE Universe being to happy about it considering him being John Cena and all.

I’m saying this because I truly feel that overall, booking wise, they have SmackDown Live beat. Current WWE Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar gets a lot of flack due to the fact that he’s a part time champion, but name one bad match he’s been in since becoming the title holder.

Since joining forces/reuniting, current WWE Raw Tag Team title holders, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have put on some pretty entertaining matches with the likes of Sheamus & Cesaro and The Hardy Boyz. Although the hot potato shtick with the Raw Women’s Championship is definitely not best for business, most of Raw’s women’s matches have been on-point as well.
