Alexa Bliss held the Raw Women’s Championship for 112 days before losing it to Sasha Banks at SummerSlam, but “The Legit Boss” gave the title right back to Bliss on an episode of WWE Raw shortly after. Will she be able to “hot potato” it back at WWE No Mercy 2017?
When Alexa Bliss first joined the WWE Raw Women’s Division after the “Superstar Shakeup” in April, she immediately made her mark on the division. Bliss defeated Bayley for the Raw Women’s Championship at Payback, becoming the first woman to win both the Raw and SmackDown titles. After tossing aside Bayley at every turn, Bliss ran into her first true challenger in Sasha Banks, and she had to get herself counted out in order to avoid losing to “The Legit Boss” at Great Balls of Fire.
Banks wasn’t going to be denied the opportunity to finally dethrone Bliss, as she forced “Five Feet of Fury” to tap out in what was a feel-good moment at SummerSlam. That didn’t last, though, as Banks once again failed to successfully defend her title.

Although Nia Jax turned on Bliss and attacked her following her championship victory over Banks last week, Bliss’s opponent at WWE No Mercy 2017 will once again be Banks. It’s a bit of a surprise, since it looked like Bliss would be moving on to a program with Jax. However, Bliss and Banks still have unfinished business, and it will be interesting to see if Banks can pull off another big victory and become a five-time women’s champion. That would be a surprise, but much stranger decisions have happened with this particular title involved.

Without Jax in her corner, we’ll see how Bliss fares, and it may take some more shady tactics to set up that dangerous DDT of hers in order to retain the belt and move on to a different opponent than Banks, who has been busy fighting battles outside of the ring lately.
