4. Carmella Does Not Cash In

I’m not exactly sure who will win between Carmella and Natalya, but my money would be on Natalya to thwart the “Princess of Staten Island”. I believe we will see another match between Natalya and Naomi, especially after they both put on a solid showing at SummerSlam.

After Baron Corbin lost his Money in the Bank briefcase so quickly and anticlimactically at the hands of Mahal (and John Cena), I doubt the WWE will have Carmella cash in quickly at all. In fact, I believe they will drag out her cash-in, because the fans will react much more strongly to it. Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler had the two most memorable cash-ins in the history of Money in the Bank, and both wrestlers held onto the briefcase for quite a long time. Carmella has already done a great job of elevating the importance of the briefcase to her in promos, in addition to teasing Natalya and Naomi with it, and she should be a big star by the end of this.

Additionally, Carmella is the first ever woman to win the Money in the Bank briefcase, and it’s important to make her cash-in moment feel special. There’s absolutely no way she fails her cash-in, so expect this saga to continue. She won’t be cashing in tonight, and she’ll most likely lose to Natalya. The tradition for briefcase holders, especially those who hold the contract for an extended period of time, is to lose matches. Carmella can afford to take losses in the ring.
