2. Who Is Bobby Roode’s First Feud?

We’ve seen Bobby Roode make quick work of Aiden English and Mike Kanellis in singles action after making his main roster debut, but it’s time to see if Roode will get a feud of substance. Currently a babyface, Roode looks poised for a championship run in the near future, but it’s anyone’s guess as to who is first feud will be before he’s moved up into the main event.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s first feud on SmackDown Live came against Dolph Ziggler, in which Nakamura disposed him of him at Backlash and on a random TV episode. We could see Roode move into a program with Ziggler to get his feet wet with the main roster product, because that seems to be the approach of choice from the WWE. Ziggler is the company’s safest worker, and he’s an easy person to build more comfort level of the product against.

Recently, Ziggler has been cutting scathing work-shoot promos about the WWE, the fickleness of the fans, and the cookie-cutter gimmicks of the competitors on the main roster. It’s been fantastic, creative stuff from the “Zig-Man”, and one of those gimmicks he’s berated is that of the robe-clad Roode’s.

While a feud between Roode and Ziggler would be more simple than exciting, due to the way WWE would want to book the feud, it would be an easy starting point for casual fans to learn more about the former NXT Champion’s character and in-ring prowess.
