WWE Raw: 5 Predictions For September 11, 2017

1 of 5

WWE Raw featured an epic steel cage match between Braun Strowman and the Big Show as the main event last week, but will Brock Lesnar mount a response to Strowman this week?

The build for No Mercy will continue on WWE Raw last week, as the pay per view will feature marquee matchups between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar, as well as Roman Reigns and John Cena. These are two of the most highly-anticipated bouts of 2017, and each week of Raw must do its part to build up to these matches.

Another critical match to watch at No Mercy will be the women’s Fatal Four-Way pitting Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, and Emma in the ring together. Will there be heightened tensions teased this week? Does Emma “have a chance”? And will it be Nia’s turn to claim her rightful place at the top of the women’s division.

Here are five predictions for this week’s episode of Raw.

5. Brock Lesnar Makes His Presence Felt

Braun Strowman sent a message to “The Beast Incarnate” last week, even though he didn’t stand face-to-face with Brock Lesnar. His clear-cut victory over the Big Show in a steel cage match was a statement in and of itself, but Strowman, as he is known to do, took things to another level by hitting Show with a powerslam through the steel cage. It was another moment of pure power from “The Monster Among Men”, and I wonder if Paul Heyman will come out tonight to try and put Strowman in his place

In the build-up to Lesnar’s feud with Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire, there were plenty of captivating segments involving Heyman, Lesnar, and Joe. Who can forgot Joe’s “Something very bad is about to happen to you” promo on Heyman in which he choked the advocate out? Or how about when Joe choked out Lesnar himself? Or Lesnar’s pompous promos?

I bet Strowman will be booked as Lesnar’s strongest challenger yet, which means that he and Brock will put something special together before their titanic clash at No Mercy even begins. I’m also willing to bet that Strowman will get the better of Brock until that match, since it’s a great way to keep making Strowman, who might be Raw‘s MVP this year, look strong as hell.
