Vince McMahon Returns to SmackDown for the First Time in 4 Years
I can’t possibly believe that stat, and it only perpetuates the idea that the Blue Brand is perceived as the B show.
With Kevin Owens already in the ring, Vince McMahon’s music plays to cheers throughout the arena.leading up to this point, I didn’t know what to think. Traditionally a heel character, Mr. McMahon was always a wild card and I could see him turning over the reigns to Kevin Owens.
Kevin Owens maybe should have played his hand a bit more tactfully, he did assault his boss’s son. Instead, he claimed that Mr. McMahon was feeling intimidated. But McMahon responded that he was in fact feeling disgusted.
He went on to tell Owens that he did attempt to sue the WWE, that he would be swiftly fired and his legal fees would bankrupt him. He revealed the only reason that he suspended Shane was because he didn’t beat down Owens even more. Mr. McMahon then revealed that Shane was no longer suspended, and that he and KO would square off in a Hell in a Cell match.
KO agreed to the match, so long that if he destroyed a McMahon he wouldn’t be fired. Vince promised, and the two shook on it. Kevin Owens then landed a vicious headbutt that left the owner of the WWE stunned and bleeding in the ring. KO followed it up with a super kick and a frog splash. WWE officials and even Stephanie McMahon came to the ring to help as SmackDown went off the air.
