WWE Hell In A Cell 2017 Rumors: The New Day vs. Usos In A Cell?

The New Day and the Usos are currently involved in one of the most enthralling rivalries in the company, but could they decide their next high-profile match at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 inside the ominous structure?

Last week on SmackDown Live in Las Vegas, The New Day and the Usos put on another show in the ring, completely delivering in their “Street Fight” match. Whether they are kicking off the show at Battleground, working on the SummerSlam pre-show, or just having another match on SmackDown, these two teams continue to show why they are in as class of their own by tearing the house down each night they are together.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, the company could reward both tag teams with a huge match at WWE Hell in a Cell 2017. Satin reports on Wrestling Sheet Radio that he’s hearing that the aim is to have the Usos and the New Day compete inside of the cell for a Hell in a Cell match.

Currently, there is only one announced match that will occur inside the cell, and that is the Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon match, which was announced last week by Vince. Right now, that is the biggest story on SmackDown, so it deserves to be inside of the behemoth structure.

Meanwhile, the WWE Championship match between Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura, who earned his spot by defeating Randy Orton in a main event match on SmackDown Live, hasn’t been announced as a Hell in a Cell match. They will fight at the Pay Per View, but no formal announcement regarding the stipulation has been made, which was noted by the folks on Wrestling Sheet Radio.

Last year, Hell in a Cell was a Raw exclusive Pay Per View, and we received three marquee matches inside of the cell. Those matches were the United States Championship match between Roman Reigns and Rusev, the Universal Championship match between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins, and the Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair.

It stands to reason, then, that one more Hell in a Cell match could be added, assuming that the New Day vs. the Usos does indeed occur inside the cell. As for the women’s division, Natalya successfully defended her title against Naomi last week, so her next feud is up in the air (I choose Becky Lynch, for what it’s worth).

Fans have been hoping for a Hell in a Cell bout between the New Day and the Usos to help solidify this as the biggest long-term rivalry in WWE right now. They deserve that big match, and it will be interesting to see if the New Day are able to retain to end this back-and-forth swapping of the titles between these two top teams.
