WWE SmackDown 5 Predictions For September 19, 2017

On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, the drama between the Kevin Owens and the McMahon family will continue to boil.

WWE SmackDown Live makes a habit of announcing a marquee match well in advance of the show itself, and this week’s episode is no exception. Last week after Tye Dillinger’s loss to AJ Styles in a United States Championship match at Las Vegas, Baron Corbin unsurprisingly came into the ring to make his presence felt. He proceeded to beat Dillinger down before announcing to Styles that he will be facing “The Phenomenal One” for the US Title tonight.

Aside from that big match, it’s anyone’s guess as to what will take place on tonight’s episode. Shinsuke Nakamura and Jinder Mahal must continue to build to their feud, and I wonder what the creative team has planned after last week’s tasteless promo that was written for Mahal. This feud is for the WWE Championship, but it feels like an absolute joke.

Meanwhile, Naomi lost her rematch for the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Natalya, and everyone is wondering who Natalya’s next contender will be. The top two choices are Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, but could Tamina come in and be a surprise challenger with Lana enlisted as her manager?
