It’s not time for John Cena to pass the torch just yet.

There have been many changes within the WWE these past few months. From the brand extension to budget cuts and even the Mae Young Classic, it might truly be a brand new era.

One thing that remains the same however, is the fact that Roman Reigns and John Cena are still the two most polarizing figures in the company. Booking decisions might have led them to this this point. The fact that both are predominantly cheered by little kids and women and booed by men might be another probable cause. But you won’t find a fan that’s a tweener. You either love them or hate them.

With this in mind, as much as the WWE might want to continue its transition into the new era with Reigns taking the lead, it brings to light the following question. Is it really time to do so?

Cena’s schedule might be pushing for it. The writing team might find it to be the only option. And we can probably all agree that the higher brass inside the WWE believes it’s best for business.

What is certain though, is that No Mercy might be calling for an immediate answer. Here are three reasons why there shouldn’t be one. Or more specifically, why John Cena should take the win.
