Between Raw and SmackDown Live, what were the five worst moments in the week of WWE TV?
The current feuds in the WWE are in a strange state right now. There are some very compelling angles going but on the other side, a handful of programs that people could care less about. On Raw, the Universal Championship story has been sharp, violent, and intense. Everything a fan would want in a rivalry between Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. Also, the red brand’s tag team and women’s divisions are plugging along quite nicely. However, the Bray Wyatt/Finn Balor program is about six weeks too old, Enzo Amore is a joke of a Cruiserweight title contender, and their repeated attempts to get Jason Jordan over as a fan favorite is borderline desperate.
On SmackDown Live, it’s more of the same. The AJ Styles United States title run is about as good as any champion’s in recent memory, The New Day/Usos feud never seems tire, Dolph Ziggler, suddenly seems to have some life, and Kevin Owens seems to be reinventing the modern day villain. But much like it’s counterpart, the blue brand has issues as well. Natalya’s lack of personality is slowing the women’s division, Randy Orton has become an afterthought, and their world champion seems to be regressing both in the ring and on the microphone.
It’s time for both brands to tighten up the screws. And the only way to fix a problem is by admitting that you have one. So to get more specific, let’s highlight the 5 worst moments of the week.
