WWE have plenty of making-up to do from a lacklustre No Mercy; fortunately the Tables, Ladders and Chairs are a crowd-pleaser. How will WWE TLC 2017 line up?

WWE TLC 2017 takes place on October 22nd in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Despite being in ‘The Beast’s’ back yard, Tables, Ladders and Chairs may be a bit too gimmicky to warrant an appearance from the Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

Therefore, TLC will likely be without a World Title match, meaning they may have to relegate the signature bout to the pinfall variation we last saw back in 2014. Brock Lesnar was World Champion then too, so it’s likely he’ll take himself back to the farm while the rest of Raw cause chaos.

Here’s how TLC may shape up in the next few weeks.

Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: The Miz (Champion) vs Matt Hardy

In a stroke of horrendous misfortune, The Hardy Boyz will miss the chance to stamp their legacy on the event they helped to create.

Jeff Hardy has been sidelined with an injury which will likely prevent the brothers from getting amongst the tables, ladders and chairs once more. Had they been available, they could have taken the marquee spot: a TLC main event with The Shield duo, The Bar, and even The Club for added crash dummies. It could have been a true throwback to the early 2000s, with all eyes on tag-team wrestling once more. But alas, without Jeff, WWE will have to find another way to represent Team Extreme at TLC.

Before he got injured, Jeff Hardy took a stab at The Miz’s Intercontinental Championship, but failed. Many believed this would lead to Matt getting a shot, and what better time than at TLC. Matt could show more of that infectious character he portrayed in TNA, challenging The Miz to the Hardy specialty, a ladder match. This would be better for all parties than having another Jason Jordan attempt.
