Welcome to the Smackdown Live Division Rankings this week for the Sep. 26 episode. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn faced off in the main event of Smackdown Live.

These are the Smackdown Live rankings for each division for this following week. Each division would be ranked based on storyline progression and win/loss record as of 2017. Also each division would be divided by contenders and pretenders, to differentiate the challengers in their respective division. I’ll also highlight a specific superstar in each division and explain their ranking based on their actions. Win/Loss record is provided by CageMatch.Net.

Each superstar or tag team can move up or down the rankings based on victory, defeat or storyline progression. Let’s get right to the rankings.

The Smackdown Live Women’s Division

Highlights of the division

Charlotte scored a big win over Carmella this week on Smackdown Live. Not a fan of Carmella’s losing streak for the past few weeks. She’s definitely been booked the way Baron Corbin was before he screwed up his cash-in opportunity. The WWE will need to be careful on how the push Carmella since she’s been already lost in the shuffle. Just because she has the Money in the Bank briefcase, doesn’t mean she isn’t immune to losing all her momentum with consecutive losses. Carmella hasn’t won in nearly a month now and that has to change very soon.

The championship feud between Natalya and Charlotte will need to pick up some steam. The Women’s Champion will need to do something drastic to garner some buzz for her title match. As of this moment, this is the only match on the Hell in a Cell card that has no excitement or hype surrounding it. Everyone have already seen these two women tear it up in the past so this championship fight will need to stand out from the rest of their previous encounters.

Tamina and Lana were on the Smackdown Fallout on WWE.com but there wasn’t anything important to make note of. Sitting in the back and applying makeup to look “ravashing” might be entertaining, but it won’t catapult Tamina into a title contender. Facing off in competition against former champions like Naomi and Becky Lynch is the only path the Samoan should take in order to climb to the top of the division.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
