WWE Rumors: A Cryptic Sign Of A Sami Zayn Heel Turn?

WWE SmackDown Live’s Sami Zayn has suffered several sudden losses to the likes of Aiden English and doesn’t even have a match for WWE Hell in a Cell 2017, so could he take out his frustrations on the brand itself tonight?

Sami Zayn is a fan favorite and the ultimate good guy. He wrestlers cleanly, he doesn’t cheat, he cuts passionate promos, and he sticks his neck out for people who hold the same wholesome beliefs as him. He’s willing to speak out against the likes of Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens for stepping out of line, and the fans love him for his attitude.

However, Zayn has been out of all the championship pictures and has little momentum at this point. His character could have frustrations bubbling under the surface, and fans have speculated that Zayn could help his former best friend, Kevin Owens, in his marquee main event matchup inside of Hell in a Cell against Shane McMahon.

Pro Wrestling Sheet’s James McKenna posted a cryptic tweet tagging Zayn, which included a song that the former NXT Champion once tweeted out. The lyrics are sinister and seem to hint at a Zayn heel turn, which would make him align with Owens.

Although it is critical not to read too much in this, since McKenna could just be having fun with us, it is worth sharing before tonight’s main event. McKenna’s cryptic hints on Twitter once revealed the storyline that Jason Jordan is Kurt Angle’s son, and he most recently reported that The Shield will reunite at TLC; a prediction that seems to be set in stone at this juncture.

The idea of Zayn turning heel is almost unbelievable, since his good-natured character is so well-defined. He’s also remained incredibly over despite his atrocious booking, and it is rare to find a pure babyface who remains in the crowd’s good graces so universally.

But the WWE could be interested in shaking things up, and SmackDown Live has always been willing to “Take A Chance”. Could a Zayn heel turn tonight be that drastic step?
