With the Hounds of Justice back together on WWE Raw, here are three wild and fun things the iconic trio could do to spice things up.
The Shield is back on WWE Raw. Take a moment and let that sink in. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are finally on the same page. Some might think whether this was the right time to bring the iconic trio back to the WWE. But I personally think that any time is a good time to bring back the Shield.
This has been long overdue ever since all three of them turned face and ended up on WWE Raw. Moreover, TLC has always been historically associated with the Shield. There could not have been a better time to pull the trigger on this monumental reunion. Moreover, there could not have been better foes than the Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and Braun Strowman. Expectations are already sky-high for the scheduled match at TLC later this month.
However, with the rise of the Shield, some have already began discussing the implosion of the Shield. Come one guys, once was enough. It is always too painful to see the Shield break up. However, all good things must come to an end. But that does not mean in has to happen sometime in the near future. Now that the Shield is back, why not have a feud with another legendary faction that now rules the independent scene? After all, its founding members are all in the WWE and it would simply be ‘too sweet’.
Intriguing as it might be, there are many more things the Shield could do in the WWE. Here is a look at three creative and fun things the Shield could do to make their reunion ever so memorable. Moreover, these ideas could make sure the aura of hype and vigor surrounding them remains intact for many more years to come.

3. Win all the Titles and take over WWE Raw
The Shield has done something similar to this in the past. The only missing part of the equation was the WWE title, which is now the Universal title on Raw. Seeing as how Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are the Raw Tag Team Champions, creative could have the Hounds of Justice chase the remaining two titles on the show as well.
They are already feuding with the Miz, who is the Inter Continental Champion. Seeing as Roman Reigns hasn’t held a title in so long, this might be in the works. That would make Shield the unquestionable rulers of the mid-card. There will only be one last thing beyond their reach – Brock Lesnar and his Universal title. Back in the days when they all held individual titles, none of them were ready for a run with the top prize in the WWE.
However, that is no longer the case this time around. All three of them have been WWE champions in the past. Creative can easily build a show around them with full confidence. Why not have the trio chase the Universal title then? Brock Lesnar is nearly unbeatable one-on-one. But how would he fare in a Fatal Four way match with all three members of the Shield hunting him? With the Hounds of Justice holding all the titles except the Cruiserweight title on Raw, it would be another milestone in their legacy and will further solidify their Hall of Fame worthy careers.

2. Invade SmackDown Live
D-Generation X would etch their names forever in history by invading WCW once. Most recently, Cody Rhodes and company sort of invaded Raw. Why not build on this and have an actual invasion take place in the WWE? Last night, Roman Reigns announced to the world that they are the three work-horses who run this company now. What better way to prove it than to walk in where they are neither expected, nor invited?
In addition to creating a memorable edition of SmackDown Live, this could also lead to a more heated battle of the brands. Creative could even build this up as the Shield vs SmackDown Live and the WWE Universe would still buy into it. Because, with these three guys together and on the same page, it seems like nothing can stop them. We’ve seen the Shield compete in a massive eleven-on-three handicap match in the past.
The truth is, the Hounds of Justice can never be intimidated. They can be outnumbered but never intimidated. The pack of wolves mentality will always ensure that the Shield always comes on top. Last time, it took one of their own to bring them down. It should stay that way. Showing up at an edition of SmackDown Live and wrecking havoc will be typical Shield MO. Moreover, it would make up for an iconic sight if their theme music hit while some major main event match is going on. Additionally, creative could take this up one step by having a match at a future PPV. Imagine the likes of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kevin Owens going up against the Shield!

1. Turn heel and run rampant
Everybody who has been speculating about eventually breaking up the Shield has one common ending. The guy who breaks it up in the end becomes a heel. Dean Ambrose has been pitched as the most capable person to do this by many. However, why does the person who turns his back of his brothers need to be a heel? Why can’t he become a babyface instead?
Imagine a scenario where the trio turns heel amidst running rampant on the entire WWE. They have conquered all challengers and captured all titles. Sheer domination and the power it comes associated with it could corrupt even the most noble warriors. The same could happen to the three as they become edgier and darker. Then finally, when the time is right, one of them, realizing the mistake they have made could turn on the others. The resulting weeks could make up for interesting dynamic between the three. Imagine a face Seth Rollins try to show his brothers the wrongs of his ways.
Imagine Dean Ambrose finally going insane amidst all this and assaulting Seth. That’s the kind of complex and layered storylines one can cultivate out of a group that came as a cohesive unit into the WWE. There is no faction other than the Shield to do that.
Even if none of the above happens, a heel Shield is always better than a face version. Their actions could eventually spark the creation of the Bullet Club (read Balor Club) on WWE Raw. Perhaps, it might result in the reunion of the Wyatt Family. Even better, it might cause another faction from NXT to make their way to the main roster to battle the Hounds of Justice.
What if Sanity or the Undisputed Era were to have a feud with these three? Ratings would be off the charts for such a program. A feud like that would create memorable moments and everyone would get to leave as a winner. Everyone in the WWE Universe that is.
