The WWE SmackDown Live exclusive pay per view Hell in a Cell was a rousing success, and nothing stood out more than the shocking main event. What will be the fallout on tonight’s show?
Shane McMahon could have easily ended his WWE Hell in a Cell match by pinning Kevin Owens on the floor during their “Falls Count Anywhere” match. But instead, Shane only had his eyes on revenge after taking so many beatings, listening to so many disparaging remarks, taking so much abuse, and watching Owens destroy his father, Vince McMahon. Shane climbed up to the top of the Hell in a Cell to deliver on final, crushing blow to Owens.
However, “The Prizefighter” was saved by Sami Zayn, who shocked everyone by sneaking in and rescuing his former best friend. Just two weeks ago, Owens powerbombed Zayn onto the apron and tried to end his career, and the two had that match at Battleground the year before. But now, Zayn is on Owens’s side, and the fallout from “The Underdog From The Underground’s” actions will make WWE SmackDown Live must-see TV tonight.
The Hell in a Cell pay per view also had several other matches that changed the scope of feuds and ended others. The Usos retained their tag team titles, Natalya weaseled her way to a win over Charlotte Flair, and Baron Corbin captured his first title.
Here are five predictions for tonight’s show, which will continue all the incredible momentum that SmackDown live has accrued over the past month.
