Who were the big winners and losers on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live?

After WWE SmackDown Live on Tuesday, there are a handful of superstars who are seeing their stock rise. Likewise, a couple of superstars look like they’ve hit a rough spot. A pro wrestler’s career is always full of peaks and valleys, but in WWE they get magnified because of the number of eyes on them at all times.

With that said, let’s take a look at some superstars on the move after SmackDown Live this week.

Winner: Sami Zayn

At Hell in a Cell, Sami Zayn shocked the WWE Universe. He came down during the main event to help Kevin Owens avoid a Shane McMahon elbow drop from the top of the cell. Considering the history between Owens and Zayn, it was kind of a big deal when you think about it.

On SmackDown Live, Sami explained why he did what he did. And after listening to his reasoning, you can’t help but think he’s got a great point. For too long, Zayn has been underutilized and under appreciated. Now that he’s putting that into words himself, it’s more real. I know it, you know it, he knows it, the entire world knows it.

By reuniting with his “brother” Owens, it opens up the possibility of a great tag run if that’s how the creative team wants to go with it. There’s also the strong likelihood of yet another breakup down the road, and we all know what a Zayn-Owens rivalry looks like. There’s nothing but upside in a current pairing of the two.
