The WWE’s history of tag teams has had its ups and downs, but when experiencing its ups, the tag team division in the WWE has been outstanding.

The current landscape of tag teams in the WWE is in a better place than it has been in previous years on both Raw and SmackDown, with both shows offering quality tag team wrestling.  While it’s not quite on the level tag team wrestling was in the Attitude Era, the current tag team division in the WWE is getting better and better.

But just which tag teams lead the way in the WWE?  There are several standout teams that leave a big impact on their respective brands.  Let’s take a look at the five best tag teams in the WWE right now.

5. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Checking in at number five on the list is one of the most talented tag teams in the world, but also one of the most underutilized as well.  The team of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson set the wrestling world on fire during their time in Japan and developed into one of the best tag teams in the world.

After making their debut on Raw in 2016, many felt they would change the game on Raw and help reinvigorate a tag team division.  And while they have had success, they haven’t seen nearly as much as they should have.  Maybe it’s just bad luck, but Gallows and Anderson haven’t had a prominent role on Raw in months.

The Club has one Raw Tag Team Championship reign under its belt, but the reign came to an end at WrestleMania 33 at the hands of the returning Hardy Boyz in a multi-team ladder match.  Gallows and Anderson haven’t had a legit shot at tag team gold since and seem to just be a filler team on Raw anymore.

As Raw’s tag team division progresses, Gallows and Anderson stay at the same level they have been.  A change of scenery to SmackDown could do wonders for their career and the WWE should make that move in the future at some point.

Their talent as a team is as strong as most any tag team in the WWE today, but due to their lack of direction on Raw, Gallows and Anderson occupy the number five spot in the top five tag teams in the WWE.
