WWE News: Nia Jax Granted Leave Of Absence

WWE Raw superstar Nia Jax has yet to win the Raw Women’s Championship despite her hard work and imposing figure, so naturally fans jumped on rumors that she may have walked out on the company. This does not appear to be the case.

Earlier today, the Twitter account Pro Wrestling Votes (@WrestleVotes) passed along a rumor that WWE Raw superstar Nia Jax was “upset backstage” and “possibly walked out”. It was a vaguely-worded report from an account that isn’t generally considered a reliable source, and they couldn’t verify their account. However, this outlet did correctly report Neville’s potential release from WWE, so this rumor understandably gained traction.

There may still be more to learn about this situation, but Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Ryan Satin, who is the most accurate pro wrestling insider today, filed his own report. Satin’s sources explained that Jax received a “leave of absence for personal reasons”. These “reasons” remain unclear, and it is also unclear if she was upset.

Although Jax hasn’t received much of a “push” on the Raw roster, she has been positioned decently well by the company. Unlike, say, Sasha Banks, Nia hasn’t seemed upset with management or uneasy with speaking to Vince McMahon, and he’s also been working hard to get noticed by accepting a role on “Total Divas”.

Jax has improved in the ring and on the mic this year after being noticeably “green” when first called up to the Raw main roster from NXT. As expected, there’s probably no animosity between either side, and a split sounds incredibly unlikely. While Nia would have good reason to be upset at her uneven booking, since she hasn’t been given enough silverware to back up her status as a true monster, something just didn’t add up about the original rumors.

Stay tuned for further updates on Nia’s situation, and hopefully the “personal reason” isn’t too serious and doesn’t keep her out for long. We wisher her nothing but the best while she takes time off, and hopefully she gets a chance to win the Raw Women’s Championship sooner rather than later.
