In NXT, Shinsuke Nakamura was a star, shining bright, and putting out great matches. Since his call-up to the main roster though on WWE SmackDown, Nakamura’s star is starting to dim.

After shining in NXT, Shinsuke Nakamura got called up to the main roster, and things went downhill fast. Debuting one week, then not wrestling for the next four, hurt the superstar’s momentum and connection with the main roster crowd. Many of these fans had heard of this star from Japan tearing it up in NXT but had never actually seen him wrestle.

To find out how Nakamura got as low as he is, we have to figure out how he got there. That means starting with his NXT debut, then analyzing his main roster debut and how that started his downfall. After that, we’ll look at how to bring him back to his glory days that were around not so long ago.

WWE has done so much damage to his character that it will take some work to get him back to where he was when he first came to WWE. A few good feuds, and a better build than he got with his Jinder Mahal feud is a good start, but it will take a while before he reaches the top of the mountain again.

With plans for him to take on AJ Styles at this years, WrestleMania getting started on rebuilding Shinsuke needs to happen sooner rather than later, and his next feud will be vital in starting over again.

We are going to look at how WWE can fix Shinsuke Nakamura. Because if they have someone on the WWE SmackDown Live roster that deserves to be saved, it’s him. Even without being able to connect with the crowd through his work on the mic, Nakamura has an uncanny ability to tell a great story in the ring.

I know, going off his recent work that may be hard to believe. But he showcased just that in his days in NXT, and WWE desperately needs him to do that again.
