Daniel Bryan Reacts To Kurt Angle Wrestling At WWE TLC 2017

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will return to the ring for WWE TLC 2017, replacing Roman Reigns in a match during the main event. Daniel Bryan has also been angling for an in-ring return but hasn’t been cleared. How did he react to Angle’s inclusion in the match?

Kurt Angle’s return to the WWE in 2017 was met with an unsurprisingly huge amount of support, and his induction into the Hall of Fame led to the creation of a revealing WWE 24 documentary on the former Olympic gold medalist and former TNA star.

When Angle returned to pro wrestling’s largest promotion, many fans wondered when they would see him making his return to the ring in WWE. Some believed his first real feud could come against another legend in Triple H, but it was announced today that he will battle alongside Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins at WWE TLC 2017 as Roman Reigns’s replacement. Reigns is among those affected by an unspecified illness, and we wish him nothing but the best in his recovery.

Meanwhile, Angle received clearance to wrestle, and the fans couldn’t be happier. I’m sure Daniel Bryan is also excited to see Angle back in action in the WWE, but he did say that he found the announcement “interesting”.

The SmackDown Live general manager has teased an in-ring return several times, but it’s a running gag for talent, such as The Miz and Sami Zayn, to make fun of his inability to wrestle. Bryan has been cleared by doctors outside of WWE, but he remains under contract with WWE until September. Bryan has teased matches outside WWE, such as one with current Ring of Honor World Champion Cody Rhodes, and his wife Brie Bella is perfectly happy with him resuming his career despite previous head injuries.

I wouldn’t rule out an in-ring return for Bryan in the WWE, and I’m sure fans would froth at the mouth if he faced Raw GM Angle or even Sami Zayn. But that probably isn’t happening, so Bryan will have to keep making “interesting” tweets or stand there and take insults from the likes of Zayn and Miz on WWE television.

But hey, at least we get to see Angle wrestle again in the WWE, and that will happen on Sunday at TLC. The WWE had to try to make up for the lack of a true Shield reunion at the pay per view, and it looks like Angle achieves this.
