What were the biggest questions the superstars of WWE Raw and SmackDown left behind in the ring this week?
WWE had a solid week with both Raw and SmackDown Live hitting the right notes most of the time. Monday night was sent back in time with the Shield making their vintage entrance and returning to their original attire. It was a moment the fans waited three and a half years to see. The show was built almost entirely on the trio and they were featured heavily during the three hours of Raw. However, it was the Miz who stole the show with a brilliant move towards the end of the night.
The story was rather different on Tuesday night though. The Blue Brand had still been building on from the after-effects of Hell in a Cell PPV. Sami Zayn showed to the world that he can indeed play the heel role rather beautifully indeed. Zayn had an intense segment with Daniel Bryan that had the fans on the edge of their seats. Throw in Kevin Owens to the mix and you had the right ingredients for a verbal showdown.
Throw in Jinder Mahal’s challenge to the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles’s challenge in return and you know SmackDown Live certainly attained a lot in two hours. The same couldn’t be said about Raw though. Despite desperately building towards the upcoming TLC PPV, the brand stumbled whenever the Shield wasn’t around. The big reveal at the end that Kane will also be a part of the main event at TLC wasn’t as shocking as creative had hoped for.
Amidst all this, there are many questions to be answered. Some of these might be dealt with in the coming week or at TLC. Some though, may have longer implications in the WWE. What were the biggest questions from this week? Let’s find out.
