What are the biggest questions left behind by WWE Raw and SmackDown Live after an explosive week?
WWE had a week of ups and downs throughout. The week started with an explosive TLC PPV, that saw many last-minute changes to the card. Though unexpected, those changes certainly made it better. Kurt Angle would make his return to a WWE ring after eleven years. In addition, despite being on separate brands, AJ Styles and Finn Balor would compete against each other.
Though neither of these choices had any logic or build behind them, the matches delivered immensely. The fans were drooling all over the place at the mere sight of Styles and Balor staring each other down. They wouldn’t disappoint either. It was simply awesome. Kurt Angle did his best too. Creative wisely handled his return and managed to showcase him in short bursts. The match was clumsy at times but that doesn’t take anything away from how entertaining it was.
Things however, took a wild turn come Monday night. Out of the blue, SmackDown Live superstars ran an invasion on Raw locker room. It didn’t matter if one was a babyface or a heel, they destroyed everything and everyone in sight. It didn’t make much sense. But I loved it. It certainly affects continuity and lacks any logic. But I still loved it. The consequences of this are yet to be seen though.
On Tuesday though, Shane McMahon was more than prepared to face any attempts of retaliation from Raw. However, there was no acts of revolt or revenge from the Red Team, which makes it all the more scary. Angle might be plotting something big. Both brands continued to build towards Survivor Series. The build however, has left plenty of questions behind. Here are my top five questions from the week.
